Hussin Fauzi Farm @ Batang Berjuntai, Selangor
The holy month of Ramadan certainly a good timing for many activities include travelling (Cuti-Cuti Malaysia, to be precise) and outdoor activities (such as hiking or picnic) because there will be less crowd. Even activities that are notorious for always being overbooked months in advance like climbing Mount Kinabalu is possible to book at the last minute during Ramadan.
With the Ramadan 2024 is expected to begin on March 11, let me share with you a place that’s suitable for family outing, especially families with kids and animal enthusiasts – Hussin Fauzi Farm located in Batang Berjuntai.
We had a day trip to Kuala Selangor for firefly watching on Christmas Day last year and Hussin Fauzi Farm was our first stop.
Nestled in a Malay village (Kampung Teluk Penyamun), Hussin Fauzi Farm is a petting zoo where you can mingle with rabbits, cats, ostriches, kangaroos, pelicans and many more. You can pet and feed these adorable critters in open enclosures. Are you ready to have a stroll with me? Let’s go!
Entrance fee and operating hours.
Upon entering the zoo grounds, there are a few vendors offer small selection of food and drinks. Resting area and wash rooms also can be founded at this area.
The first section is a semi open space that housed a mix of different types of creatures, included fishes, turtles, rabbits, birds and guinea pigs (included the hairless species which is called Skinny).
Walked further into second section, there were reptiles, swans and sugar gliders.
This fella slept like a log until we had no chance to see its face. >_<
Walked out to the outdoor area, there’s Laman Kura Kura, obviously this sand pit is home for various of tortoises.
The outdoor area is home to a delightful mix of cows, sheep, goats, deer, birds, alpacas, camels, horses, ostriches and even kangaroos.
Notice something? (^◇^)
Different between me & hubby when taking photos with animal. (≧▽≦)
Horse riding, kids electric cars and inflatable slide are some of the activities for the kids.
The free roaming ostrich is the star of this petting zoo.
My silly hubby tried to have a chat with it. (-‸ლ)
It’s feet reminds me of dinosaur feet. (@_@。
Cassowary with helmet-like structure atop the head also makes me relate it to the dinosaurs.
This smart fella enjoyed the cool air in front of the air cooler. d(>_・ )
Verdict: It’s a good place for family outing. Time to let the kids put their phone down and get acquainted with farm animals, reptiles, birds, and more! Unplug and enjoy the countryside escapade at Hussin Fauzi Farm!
