>Reunion Dinner @ Duck King

>It was Chinese New Year eve and I just had my reunion lunch with my in-law family. After a little last-minute spring cleaning at my room, I headed to Jaya One for a reunion dinner with my family.

Since it’s the hottest time of the year for most Chinese restaurants, we need to do a reservation for our dinner way ahead. I’ve done mine almost two weeks ahead at Duck King. To my surprise, it’s Duck King who decide when we got to eat. They gave me an option either it’s 6.00pm or 8.00pm dinner time. =_=

Although reservations was made but westill have to wait when we reach there because the 6pm batch not yet done. (there were many people waiting outside the restaurant too). After we seated, order was taken but many food already not available including their famous duck dishes, how disappointed 🙁

Salmon Yee Sang

Teochew Style Steam Soon Hock
A pricey fish =.=” I assumed it should taste sourish since preserved vegetables (ham choy) was used but it taste bland 🙁

Crystal Chicken
Served with jelly fish. Taste like normal poached chicken but I wonder why the skin bluish in colour?

Stew Pork Trotter
Since many dishes that we order not available so we had no choice but had to take what the captain recommended. This pork trotter was too fat to our liking, half of the trotter was tapao back ~.~

Minced Meat Tofu
The only tofu available……

2 Style Kailan
The leafy part was fried to crunchy~~

Asparagus

Total bill : RM 550+
Verdict: This was the 1st year my family had Reunion Dinner at restaurant but sadly the food here were not up to mark & some were lacking of flavors. Inattentive service expected, warm room temperature & noisy environment make little Sam felt uncomfortable & cried at the end of the meal 🙁 My Reunion Lunch definitely fared much better so my suggestion to all :- Have your next Reunion Gathering in the afternoon!!! XD 🙂
