Restaurant Spring Golden
My sister brought us (myself, mom & niece) to this place selling roast GOOSE & claimed that the char siu here taste better than my favorite Toast & Roast. Let’s check out the fact!
Located in a industrial area & when we reached there on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was already packed with customers. Order was taken once we were seated & been informed that we have to wait a while for the roast goose.

Newspaper cuttings showing the fame of it ^^

The boss was chopping our roast goose *drooling*

Char Siu
The chunky cuts of char siu gleaming in a dark mahogany colour with a bit charred caramelized bits. This version was not as sweet as the Toast & Roast char siu which I fond to but mom & sister prefer this. Hmmm….different people different preference I can say π

Our 1/4 portion of roast goose arrived shortly in a glorious manner, the glistening skin says it all. (but my handphone failed to capture the best photo of it >.The meat was moist and tender with exquisite fat layer under the crispy skin. Dipped with the plum sauce given for some tangy twist. If you ask me what is the different between duck & goose, sorry I barely can differentiate =.=”. Maybe the price?

Extra crispy skin given *grin*

The fat I found underneath the meat. So eat at your own risk ^^

We opted for wonton mee to go with our char siu & roast goose instead of rice. The wonton mee was al-dente & springy, no complaints here π
Total total bill comes to RM 90.00 with 1/2 portion roast goose (we took away 1/4 portion), 1 portion of char siu, 2 wonton mee, 1 rice and 3 herbal tea.
PS: Please pardon my poor quality photos as it were taken via handphone
