Ishq @ Crowne Plaza KL
As a first-timer at Crowne Plaza Mutiara KL, I did not notice the presence of Ishq which tucked away at corner of the hotel. I found that I was standing at the balcony platform overlooking Ishq after getting direction to the restaurant from the hotel staff.
Stairway that led me to the exquisite grand dining hall of Ishq which is more than 7500 square feet!
Fine dining ambiance under the dim light.
Water features at the heart of the dining area.
Decorations are fusion of Asian & Western influence with deep comfortable sofas, wooden shutters & cool balconies.
Ishq is offering contemporary cuisine with influence of Thai, Indian &Vietnam.
Starter with combination of Thai & Vietnam dishes. The spring roll has a crispy outer and neatly packed shredded vegetables inside, tasted surprisingly not oily as one would expected. While the Cha Tom was deep fried prawn paste, fresh and bouncy~~
Just the right balance of spicy & sour.
I never like pomelo but the crunchy young shredded mango & onions went well with the sour & spicy dressing. A tangy pleasure indeed.
Salmon in Coriander Sauce
Pan fried salmon fillet was flaky & had slightly crispy skin. The accompanied creamy coriander sauce was lip smacking too, make me polished off the plate clean 😛
My 1st time had this Indian dish and it did appeal to me. The full bodied gravy which redolent with herbs was savory enough to go with multiples bowls of rice.
Boneless chicken meat
Yellow Daal
Served in this cute copper bucket, thick with robust taste of various herbs & spices.
This was nothing to shout about & a bit overcooked.
This might tasted dry if eat alone but went well with the butter chicken gravy or the yellow daal.
Fluffy & served warm, taste amazingly good when wiped the aforementioned gravy.
My favorite Thai dessert. Glutinous rice topped with coconut milk & served with mango. The taste was delicate & well balance, a sweet conclusion to a splendid dinner.
