>Ramadhan Set & Buffet @ Sime Darby Convention Centre ~ Dining Voucher to GIVE AWAY!

>Note: Voucher Give Away at the end of the post!

When you look at the photos above, you might think I am doing a “super backdated” Chinese New Year post. As a matter a fact, I just had the above Lou Sang last week!
After we’ve done berbuka puasa in Irish Way, let’s have it the Chinese way!

China Treasures at Sime Darby Convention Centre (SDCC) have introduced Ramadhan Set which comprise 8 dishes for RM 398.00 for 6 persons & 9 dishes for RM 568.00 for 10 persons. We were served with RM 568.00 set that night & the food were definitely sufficient for more than 10 persons because all of us were stuffed to the max at end of dinner!

Braised Peanut as appetizer

Ramadhan Yee Sang
Look & taste just exactly like the Yee Sang that we normally have when CNY but with a hint sweetness from the date slices added, what a ingenious idea huh… πŸ™‚

Puree of Winter Melon with Seafood
Laden bountifully with diced scallop, squid, prawns & mushroom.

Shallow Fried Crispy Chicken
Love the crispy skin & the tenderness of the meat still retain. Good to be dipped with sour plum sauce served too.

Braised Prawns with Chef’s Home Made Sauce
Big, fresh & bouncy prawns coated with light salted egg yolk with mix of nuts, raisins & fruits. Very moreish indeed~

Strawberry & grape slices in the prawn dish.

Steamed Patin in “Shanghai Style”
Fresh & fat Patin taste good even only steamed with gingers & chilies.

Sauteed Baby Kailan with Belacan
We need some vegetables to balance the diet πŸ˜›

Steamed Beancurd with Black Bean Sauce
Resemble our Yong Tau Fu, fish paste was filled on top of the smooth tofu & doused in savory black bean sauce.

Mooncake which I will feature more on my next post as dessert to end the splendid dinner.
A real spirit of “1 Malaysia”

Award winning China Treasures

  • >What a feast!!! I think it's truly 1Malaysia spirit to be able to enjoy and celebrate each festival together, not to mention savouring the unique delicacies from each culture. Who says only Chinese can have Yee Sang, and only Muslims can break fast (Buka Puasa)??
It is these differences which bring us closer and it became a common favorite for all of us to look forward to festive occasions (not forgetting the holidays too)!
This is truly a display and an interesting spread of 1Malaysia, in the unique context of food =)

  • >Hi Choi Yen, I read on Sean Yoong's blog that you might be looking for some wines for your Boss. Please feel free to browse through WineActually.com yeah.

At the same time, is there any way I might be able to tempt you to participate in our 100 Wines 100 Moments campaign? We're basically giving out 100 bottles of wines and all we ask for is a picture (a video is of course cooler!) of the moment when you decide to share your wine. There's no other catch! See http://wineactually.tv/100-wines-100-moments/ for details.

Sorry, I couldn't find your email address on your blog so this seems to be the only way for me to reach you!

Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

    Best regards,
    Shaun
