Read about this buffet brunch from a post in Facebook, the Peking Duck and Whole Golden Roast Pig as stated in their website tickled my fancy immediately and my suggestion to dine in here was met instant approval from sisters and mom, so here we are!
Being my first, I like the spacious dining area with fully carpeted floor, tables with pristine white table cloth and elegant huge chandelier on the ceiling. The place was packed to the brim and we were ushered to the last table near the stage.
Once I stepped into the restaurant I can feel the strong air-conditioner and when I saw the food on the buffet spread, I was like “OMG, all those food must be very cold as well!” because some of the food was exposed without any cover >.< And it was true to my expectation, most our food were cold =.=”
Chilled Seafood (this supposed to be cold, so no complaint but the salmon sashimi gone in mere minutes, u better act fast *kiasu mode ON*)
Assorted salad and raw vegetables. (I hardly found any lobster meat in the lobster salad >.<)
Appetizers, unmemorable and they are cold and hard >.<
The glistening char siu and roasted ducks look enticing behind the display counter.
Char siu was good, sweet with caramelized crust however the duck on the other hand was mediocre but my sister complained about the strong “gamey” taste.
Some staple food such as rice and noodles were available too.

Dried oyster and minced meat was nicely prepared.

Assorted dishes but they weren’t anything great to shout about
Braised egg, tofu and pork intestine.
One of the most anticipated dish ~ The Peking Duck.
Verdict: The Peking duck (not only skin was used but attached a thick layer of meat too) with crepe was OK but did not register in my mind after the meal.
When the roasted pig was brought out, a long queue was formed immediately in front of the table. ^__*
Verdict: Our portion was a tad too fat for our liking but luckily the skin was adequately crunchy. Not a totally failed version but far from being impressive too.
The dessert spread included various of kuih-muih, ice cream, ABC and the Tau Foo Fah is something you can’t miss, very smooth and fragrant, the best item in this buffet I wound say LOL
Also included in the buffet was one bowl of sharkfin soup each person (excluded kid), but according to my mom who tried it, the soup was starchy and gluey =.=”
