Garage 51 @ Bandar Sunway
Tucked within a very industrial region in Bandar Sunway, Garage 51 is managed by team behind Coffee Société.

Stirring up an industrial facade with modern and sleek furniture, this sun-blessed cafe received great illumination of natural light from the glass window panels which is just ideal for photography. I like its easy going vibe, partnered with amiable staffs who were always at our service.

Sofas made from recycled oil drums 😛

Americano (RM 8.00)

Chicken Finger (RM 10.00)
Nicely fried without traces of oil but the flavors was quite bland.

Awesome Garage Breakfast 2.0 (RM 26.00)

Portion wise, hubby’s breakfast platter was so happening filled with poached egg, 2 pieces of beef salami, jumbo sausage, zucchini fritters, Shimeji mushroom, salad and sourdough with fresh strawberries on peanut butter spread. The poached egg was well prepared with a perfectly runny yolk. The guacamole and zucchini fritters definitely an usual item for breakfast set but both were welcoming and well executed. I personally adored the sauteed mushroom, very well seasoned.

Sourdough with Zucchini Fritters (RM 16.00)

The most artistry looking breakfast I’ve ever had! Poached egg in beef salami basket sit on bed of zucchini fritters and sourdough surrounded by roasted cherry tomato, Shimeji Mushroom, corn kernels, cream cheese and radish in pesto dressing. The dish was rather welcoming on the palate but it was lukewarm when served to our table (both breakfast we ordered) which slightly ruined my dining experience.
Verdict: I love this sunshine-blessed cafe rendering an extremely nice set of photos. Food wise, there were hits and misses but their “Garage Messed Up Family” Series drinks looks extremely awesome which I really don’t mind to come back for 🙂

The breakfast looks very intriguing and make me excited to check it out. I heard their serial drinks is fantastic.
Yes, their drinks looks really fancy!
Not quite convinced with the breakfast set but the last photo does look impressive!
Yolk porn!
Eggs look perfect! Nice eggporn my dear! haha
Absolutely!
There has also been a 100% algae biofuels flight performed by EADS on Berlin Air Show recently. So also in Europe there are activities to check if algae biofuels may be the future of mobility…
I like how the poached eggs are done free-style here! I wonder if those oil-drum seats are comfortable…haha! 😀
Haha, I don’t think it’s comfortable with that hard and cold metal back 😛
I like Bestcovery because they do the footwork for you. As much as I enjoy looking at site after site after site looking for the perfect find, I simply don't have the time. Bestcovery cuts out about 80% of that chore.Alicia Webster5webs@comcast.net
a properly executed poached egg is one of the best ways to start breakfast.
You’re absolutely correct! I like to dip my bread with those runny egg yolk 🙂
Not easy running a cafe these days, must have lots of creative ideas on menu and decorations!
(Feel free to link me in your blogroll ya, hehehe :p)
But I think ours still slightly slower that our neighbour country 😛
This place looks innovative with its garage ambiance, oil drum sofas and neat menu presentations. I always like to explore these unique places and you always introduced new places to me! The Awesome Garage Breakfast is worth trying! Big plate and reasonably priced.
Do drop by more frequent to check out cafes/restaurants that I’ve visited but not always got such fancily decorated one lah, hehe ^__^
