Fifth Palate @ Kota Damansara
I was at Fifth Palate for lunch on a weekend and the cafe was running on full capacity. This place is often thronged with patrons during the weekends, so waiting is inevitable during peak hours. Located at Kota Damansara but not exactly the busiest district of that area, Fifth Palate nestled at Encorp Strand Garden Office which is opposite The Strand Mall (beside Giant Hypermarket)

Sunlight floods in through the huge glass windows, the cafe has a lovely aura from its bright white theme completed with plenty of dangling lights, wooden tables and metal chairs.

Outdoor seating is available as well but the low tables are not suitable for dining though, perhaps a relaxed coffee session.

Pepper, sugar and salt in laboratory flask 🙂

Long Black (RM8.00)

Babycino (RM6.00)

Drunken Frenchman (RM28.00)

The dish did a hint of visual excitement as soon as it was served. There’s so much happening on the plate, French toast, caramelized banana, bacon, house made peanut butter, Guinness Stout reduction and Forty Licks Vanilla ice cream. The whole combination supplying a bery of invigorating flavors that provide a huge satisfaction to the palate!

Check out their house made chunky peanut butter, it’s divine.

Aburi Salmon (RM 35.00)

Salmon fillet of your preferred done-ness topped with torched chili lime mayo lays on bed of red rice cake served with mixed salad. The fish was flaky and the chili lime mayo beautifully elevated the overall flavors of the dish. The richness and creaminess of the dressing is more than superficially striking, love it!

Soursop Yogurt (RM5.00)
House made yogurt also available in other flavors such as wheatgrass, mango and original.

Forty-Licks Salted Caramel ice cream (RM6.00/scoop)
Verdict: Their menu definitely offers something different compared to other cafes with a combination of Western and Japanese dishes. We were happy with the food we had this time and certainly don’t mind to come back for more.

Oh sounds like a place that i’d love to visit!
Finally a place that approved by u~~
I live just beside this cafe Choi Yen! 🙂
I’ve been here a few times, it’s pretty good. They have a Mexican theme running at night too. The lunch menu and the dinner menu is quite different, more Western cafe style for lunch and Mexican inspired for dinner. My better half likes their waffles. Actually their hours are a bit strange, sometimes they’re open at nights, sometimes not. If I’m not remembering wrongly, they used to open 1 night per week only.
Hmm….. beside this cafe *thinking hardly where
Oh, they serve dinner? I saw their operating hours is until 6pm only?
The peanut butter looks too sweet for me but the torched chilli lime mayo sounds great to me! 😉
If my memory serve me right, the peanut butter was ok, overall was savory + sweet combo, actually not bad at all!
that will send peanut butter lovers straight to heaven! 😀
You make me think of a person we both know, haha! U know who I mean? The super fan of peanut butter LOL
Been to Kota Damansara a few times, but just had dimsum and those food stalls run by foreigners … Haha!
There are too many face & eateries around this area, even 1 local like me cannot cover 10% of them >_<
这家的食物好吸引,有个人特色!!现在咖啡馆的竞争太大,少一点用心也会被比下去。
现在的咖啡馆的食物很多都是大同小异,但最近我也有吃到一间蛮不错的,迟些再分享 🙂
