Petaling Street Asam Laksa @ Petaling Street, K.L

I was enticed by bowls of Asam Laksa that the diners were tucking in at this little stall at Petaling Street when we were walking to Lai Foong for lunch.

The stall is located right opposite Hotel ChinaTown Inn and the tables were placed in the Lee Lam Thye Market as well as on the walkway of Petaling Street Market. The surrounding and setting were hardly conducive to a comfy/hygienic dining environment, but it’s a wet market after all.  ╮( ╯_╰)╭

Four types of noodles were offered here and drinks like soft drink and herbal drink  were available too.

I couldn’t resist the temptation and decided to have my second round of lunch here.      (^∀^)

The appearance ~ The broth came in a bright red sheen with sizeable fish meat, shredded onion, cucumber, pineapple and mint leaves crowned on the Laksa noodles.

Taste: The Asam Laksa broth was thick and creamy with intense sourish and spiciness. It was tangy and pungent which really made the addiction kicked in once I savoured the first sip. Add in shrimp paste (Hei Ko) for extra sweetness to the broth. The fish meat portion was certainly generous as I got at least 4 big pieces of them in my bowl.

Verdict: The Asam Laksa really knocked my socks off and really no regret to have my second bowl of noodles here although my stomach nearly exploded after the meals. (≧▽≦)
