Fo Guang Shan Don Zen Temple CNY Lantern & Floral Festival 2024 @ Jenjarom
The annual Chinese New Year lantern and floral festival at Fo Guang Shan Don Zen Temple at Jenjarom New Village is a staple on Selangor’s events calendar and one of the popular activities for both locals and tourists during the Spring Festival. My last visit was 13 years ago, and this year we pay a revisit on Chor Yat (first day of Chinese New Year) because as a local (both hubby & I), we have plenty of time to kill after visiting our moms. (^_^;)
In conjunction with the 2024 Wood Dragon Year celebration, the highlight of this free admission lantern festival is the 288ft (88m) “Auspicious Golden Dragon”.
The whole temple grounds is transformed into a glittering wonderland of lanterns, digital lights and illuminated gardens that both children and adults would take delight in. Don Zen Temple Chinese New Year Lantern & Floral Festival certainly a great place to enjoy the palpable celebratory atmosphere. However if you don’t like crowded place, this is not for you. ┐(´д`)┌

Apart from the religious activities like prayers and rituals, visitors could visit the book fair, explored the beautiful landscaped gardens, as well as indulge in vegetarian cuisine at the food street and Waterdrop Teahouse.
