Soon Fatt Beijing Roasted Duck @ Pudu
Are you a roasted duck aficionado? If YES, please read on, if NO please do so too, haha lol
I wrote about my BEST roasted duck at Restaurant De Champion earlier and now I discovered another which is on par with it -> Soon Fatt Beijing Roasted Duck nestled at Jalan Pasar, Pudu.
This is where it located, the shabby looking shack and prepare to sweat a bucket if you dine in on a scorching afternoon. (Just like us >.<)
We was there on Sunday slightly earlier than lunch hour but this place already swarmed by crowd and we managed to secure the last available table.
Do call them to reserve a table 🙂
They are on Facebook too ^__*
The rice was glistening and very aromatic, perhaps was cooked with duck oil or duck stock?
We order roasted duck & char siew for 2 person.
The most important requirement for a good roasted duck must be the crispy skin (for me lah at least =.=”) and this definitely passed with flying colours! The lovely and delectable skin was so crispy and moreish. The meat underneath was succulent and tenderly soft covered with awesome lusty salted taste. Heaven in a bite!
The char siew was equally good too; basted with glistening sweet and sticky honey concoction. The BBQ meat is sweeter version which I prefer with a caramelized crust with slightly charred edges. Hubby and I fight for the last piece 😛
See, even she enjoyed it!
The bill came to RM 30.40 for a portion of roasted duck+char siew for 2, 2 rice, a Coke and a bottle of wheat grass juice, very affordable!
