Jalan Jalan Japan @ Skypark One City, Subang Jaya
Economic trends can greatly affect buying behaviour. In the current economic climate, people will always look to save money or try to MacGyver a better quality of life with whatever they’ve got. The economic downturn has increased the demand for second hand goods which provide consumers with an opportunity to save money on their purchases.
Recently I’ve visit Jalan Jalan Japan nestled at Level 1A, Skypark One City in Subang Jaya which offers wide selection of pre-loved items from Japan. Being the biggest pre-loved store in Malaysia which occupied a space up to about 23,000sqf, consumers can get goods such as clothes, bags, shoes, baby products, toys, sport equipment, musical instruments, books, household item and etc.
Japanese products are always equal to good quality and attractive design. Not all of it has necessary been used. Japanese, who have a culture to cherish their personal items, so most (but not all) of the pre-loved items are in good condition. I also believe not all the items on sale have been used because there are maybe some items that people have bought or been given, decided they had no use for, and unloaded at a second-hand shop.
We were greeted to this massive collections of clothes once we entered the store. Women and baby/kid clothing occupied most of the space on first floor.
All the clothes are systematically categorized into different rows as well as the sizes are well separated with hangers with size attached. This make the “treasure hunting” easier. There are skirts, dresses, short pants, long pants , long sleeves tops, short sleeves tops, cardigans, jackets, winter wear, pyjamas, evening gowns and even kimono! Get a wheeled shopping basket at the entrance for a more convenient shopping experience.
Random tops we found LOL . The price offered is from as low as RM5 for clothing. I’ve roughly browsed through the offerings, most of them are in 8/10 good condition and you need at least 3-4 hours to check out all the items.
Kid’s clothing section.
Good looking and quality kid size dress is priced at RM15 only!
If you’re an individual who worships the tag, you’re likely to find pre-loved designer bags are available too. It’s a great way to suit your stylish needs while saving a bundle.

Verdict: I had fun treasure hunting time at Jalan Jalan Japan and definitely wish to come back and spend more time to check out the clothes section. Shopping is such an essential part of our consumer-driven economy, indulging in second-hand stores not only benefit your own budget but also save the environment by recycling, re-using, and appreciating. You can spend less and satisfy your shopping craving for unique goods, why not?
OMG i like that luggage bag you were holding! How much har?
That luggage bag not expensive but a bit cacat already wor, the PU leather peeling 🙁
this would be fun to explore – and maybe shop for a few gifts for friends and family! 🙂
Maybe you can follow their FB page to get update on their new stock replenish date so that you can get more & better choices 🙂
The problem with these second-hand goods is, because they’re so cheap, you end up buying more than you have a need for….haha! ;D
Haha, exactly! But the cups and plates I bought is for my recipe shooting purpose 😛
My eyes went big to see the huge number of items. In Japan I was surprised that they do have pre-loved shelves selling design bags inside department stores too! It is something we don’t practice in Malaysia yet.
I want to visit this place this weekend! The luggage you pulled struck my eyes because I have one antique piece that looks exactly but over 60 years old now. Your models are really funny and sporting! LOL
I believe their pre-loved items all are in very good condition, right?
Happy shopping and don’t overbought ya, haha!
The model……yalor especially my hubby >_<
