A Delicious Christmas @ Delicious

Christmas is coming soon! This certainly a season for celebrations and feasting! My recent gathering with bunch of friends was at Delicious, 1 Utama for their latest Christmas menu which available from 14th December till 31st December 2015.

 

We were there on a Saturday late noon and the place was packed to the brim. The restaurant is adequately lit, dressed in a mixture of dark grey and light wood tone with a contrasting turquoise wall which is their signature colour theme. Beautiful dangling lights and framed art adorning the dining area.

 

A cozy corner at the front part of the restaurant furnished with comfortable couch for a relaxing tea and gossip session. Check out their Afternoon Tea set available from 3pm to 6pm.

 

I can’t take my eyes off this impressive array of sweet treats ranging from cakes, pies and puddings in the display cabinet.

In conjunction with “A Delicious Christmas” menu, these two festive drinks are specially crafted to jazz up the holiday season mood!

 

Roasted Turkey & Stuffed Leg with Cranberry Sauce & Turkey Jus (RM 445.00 for 5-6kgs ~ Takeaway menu)

 

Roasted Turkey Breast & Stuffed Leg with Cranberries, Roasted Vegetables in Chili & Herbs (RM 36.50)

This platter of roasted turkey breast was everything that you’d expect for this festive season. Meaty turkey breast was surprisingly not dry or bland accompanied by cranberry sauce & turkey jus for a moister finish. Brilliantly paired with stuffed leg with sage, chestnut and onion which provide a multi-dimension of flavors.

 

Salmon Gravadlax with Walnut, Lemon & Horseradish Salad (RM18.50)

More than generous portion of cured Salmon topped with greens and crushed walnut tossed in lemon and Horseradish dressing. A great combination of flavors and textures indeed.

 

Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Creamed Mushroom, Asparagus & Roasted Vegetables        (RM 50.00)

We were truly rejoiced in this indulgent beefy pleasure. Thick slab of beef tenderloin was beautifully done with slightly charred edges sit gorgeously on bed of roasted vegetables and creamed mushroom, stalks of asparagus completed the appearance of the dish. I adored the luscious and creamy sauce which really complement the meat and offered a pleasant earthy flavor to it.

 

Mincedmeat Crumble Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream (RM 14.50)

Saving the best for last, our dessert was a gorgeous traditional Christmas sweet featuring Mincedmeat Crumble Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream. The dessert shouts Christmas from all its ingredients and oozes with much holiday sweet note.

Christmas takeaway menu which is perfect for Christmas parties, office celebrations or even a family Christmas dinner.

 

Verdict: It’s a fairly worthy Christmas menu in my opinion. Delicious serves up beautiful dishes made with quality ingredients that showcase little twist of delights. Also be informed that there are new additions to the menu as well as a fantastic ‘Tapas inspired’ menu which will be launched on January 2016.
