Mystical White Wonderland @ The Westin Kuala Lumpur
Let’s celebrate the festivities and embark a magical magical journey at The Westin Kuala Lumpur under the twinkling of endearing fairy lights, mystical creatures and enchanting fairytale ambience! Themed ‘Mystical White Wonderland’, the hotel’s team of chefs have created exquisite culinary menus in the hotel’s signature dining venues to pamper your taste buds.
We were glad to be invited to sample the festive buffet at The Living Room as well as the lighting ceremony of the beautiful Christmas Tree Globe.
The sparkling Christmas Tree Globe at the hotel entrance featuring snowy Christmas trees, flying unicorn and snow stalactites, definitely a sight to behold!
The spacious and elegant dining area was beautifully decked out in Christmas decoration and it definitely put us in a festive mood. I especially adore the tall Christmas tree with blue and silver ornaments.
The buffet spread was filled with merry gastronomic festive dishes and the roasted turkey certainly not to be missed. The bird was nicely roasted with succulent meat completed with all its trimmings, gravies and side dishes.
The prime rib was equally tantalizing. It was expertly roasted to a medium rare doneness with pinkish center and a pleasurable char.
The seafood potpie was one of my favourite dishes that evening. The pie was filled with creamy and rich seafood, the flavor was moreish and just spot on.
Apart from the mouth-watering spread of festive dishes, there were also good selection of local delights such as assorted curries, pipping hot dim sum, soupy noodles and fried snacks of banana fritters (pisang goreng), Cempedak fritters and curry puffs.
One can hardly miss the dessert corner as there was a host of Christmas sweet treats in cheerful vibrant colours and shapes.
