Morning Sun Kopitiam @ Bandar Menjalara, Kepong

It was a rare weekend morning when hubby willing to get out of bed and accompanied me to my weekly jogging. After the workout, we went for breakfast at this Kopitiam with a special feature – live band performance! ♫♪˙‿˙♫♪

Morning Sun Kopitiam, located right opposite Taman Tasik Menjalara is one of the popular breakfast spots for exercisers in this area. The live band performance with a shabby setting was completed with proper sound system, musical instruments and singer, don’t play play I tell you (o^-’)b.  One can also make request to perform on the “stage”. (´∀`)

Pan Mee Soup (Small – RM9.00)

I read good reviews about this Pan Mee stall and as a Pan Mee fanatic I had to try it out. However, this bowl of Pan Mee didn’t impress as much as I thought it would. It was nothing out of the ordinary, from the soup base to the toppings. But I enjoyed the the al-dente texture of the handmade noodles.

Pork Noodles (Small – RM9.00)

Tender meat slices, minced pork, pork balls and the essential pork lard (we omitted innard), it looked good but wasn’t among some of the better tasting Pork Noodles that I’ve eaten. The flavour of the broth was just moderate, not outstanding.

Char Kuey Teow (Small – RM9.00)

Like usual, how could we satisfied by just ordered two dishes, so we got ourselves one more plate of Char Kuey Teow. It came with generous amount of ingredients (we omitted cockles) and was adequately imparted with Wok Hei but the flavour was a tad overpowering, it was salty!

Verdict: Since nothing tickled our fancy here, I think it’s safe to say that there’ll be no repeat visit.
