An Viet @ Paradigm Mall ~ Beefiest Pho You’d Love

In my opinion, authentic Vietnamese Pho must always contain beef meat and of course well flavoured beef broth. While the travel ban is still enforced (collateral damage to break the Covid chain), I don’t think Malaysian will be short-changed in getting great quality pho, rivaling any pho at Vietnam.

The recent launch of the Beefiest Pho You’d Love by An Viet kinda validated my thought.

Located LG floor of Paradigm Mall (next to Tesco), the SOP at An Viet is well executed, adhere with proper social distancing.

Some merchandises such as premium fish sauce, Vietnamese coffee and rice paper sourced from Vietnam.

Lemongrass & Ginger Drink (Hot – RM7.90)

Appetizer Platter (RM14.90)
Comprised of green mango salad, sugarcane prawn, fresh and fried spring roll with tiger prawn.

The green mango salad with shredded green mango, quail egg, cherry tomato and peanuts, tossed with spicy sour dressing was appetizing to freshen up my palate. The sugarcane prawn was decadent with bouncy and well flavoured prawn paste, one is definitely not enough!

Both fried and fresh spring roll with tiger prawns were equally delicious.

Beef Pho (Phở Bò in Vietnamese) or beef noodles is the obligatory order for a Vietnamese meal. The renowned new edition of Beefiest Pho You’d Love undoubtedly a must try when you dine in at An Viet. There are 3 options in this improved version of beef noodles namely Vietnamese Beef Noodle Special, Vietnamese Raw Beef & Beef Brisket Noodle Soup and Vietnamese Raw Beef & Beef Ball Noodle Soup.

Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup (RM18.90)

Hubby’s opted for this with premium raw ribeye beef and handmade 100% pure beef balls as he’s not fan of offal. Long simmering (12 hours) of assorted beef bones and other ingredients, the broth was richly imbued with beef essence which was tasty and satisfying.

The paper-thin premium raw ribeye beef slices were achingly tender and cooked upon the hot broth. Don’t cook the meat too long in the soup if you prefer your beef medium rare like me. The beef balls on the other hand were fresh, bouncy and adequately seasoned.

The slurpilicious silky smooth Vietnamese rice noodles. Ăn Viet offer diners choices of grammage of noodles/rice (100g, 150g or 200g) to go with their meal with same price and add on if you need more at no extra charges. Vietnamese Beef Noodle Special (RM23.90)

This bowl of noodles laden bountifully with premium raw ribeye beef, beef brisket, honeycomb tripe, tendon, and handmade beef ball certainly can satisfy my greedy appetite. I was consoled by this bowl of noodles in great contentment. If I had to comment, it would be the texture of the tendon which was a bit too soft for my liking.

Diners can get fresh basil leaves from pots of basil plant displayed in the restaurant as condiment to go with your noodles.

Other condiments such as bean sprouts, coriander, lime wedges, chopped chilies and chili sauce are also available at the condiments counter.

Sport Car (RM14.90)

Sam’s kid meal was served in a cute bento box (a bit too cute for her age now (´・_・`) The meal consisted of rice served with pork chop, fried spring roll, braised egg and drink.

Viet-ffogato (RM9.90)

Coconut Ice Cream with Vietnamese Coffee

The coconut ice cream and coconut milk provided an unique aroma and flavours to the coffee.

Caramel Pudding (RM6.90)

My all time favourite dessert, wobbly rich egg custard with luscious caramel syrup, a sweet conclusion to end my meal. ♥

♥Verdict: Based on my several visits to An Viet, I know I can always count on them to serve quality and scrumptious Vietnamese dishes aim to please. No hesitation in recommending An Viet if you’re looking for  value-for-money classic and authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
