E&O Residences Kuala Lumpur @ Jalan Tengah, K.L

As a true born and bred citizen of Kuala Lumpur, I have seen the transformation of an already busy capital city to the global city of today. People are constantly busy and traffic jam seems like a norm.

It is no wonder KL is ranked as the 4th most overworked city and also ranked last in work-life balance index in the recent 2019 study among 40 cities of the world. (https://www.getkisi.com/work-life-balance#table)

Fret not as you may still find serenity among the hustle and bustle of city life. Yours truly has just spend a weekend in the city centre and came out refreshed.

Braving the Friday traffic, we were excited to spend our weekend at E&O Residences Kuala Lumpur. Strategically located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, E&O Residences Kuala Lumpur shares the pedigree of the legendary Eastern & Oriental Hotel, Penang. One can expect nothing but the same immaculate attention to detail as well as luxury and ultimate service afforded by E&O’s legendary hospitality.

Reception counter at the modern designed lobby.

The property offers 200 units of stylishly appointed one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites that boasted a splendid view of the city’s skyline.

Our 105 sq metre one-bedroom suite comes with one bedroom with King-size bed, a huge living room area, kitchenette and two washrooms.

The luxurious and ample-sized suite was furnished with long sofa, coffee table, WiFi internet connectivity, home entertainment system of iPod docking station and television with satellite and cable channels. I like its expansive layout and the inviting warm neutral theme color, a very comfortable atmosphere partnered with minimalist and pleasant setting.

The layout with wraparound glass walls from the living room to the bed room offers one of the greatest view of the city. I can see KL Tower and KLCC from our suite, I especially love how those skyscrapers are aglow with huge colorful displays during night time.

E&O Residences is situated at the bustling area of Jalan Tengah and there are several  popular attractions such as The Weld, Pavilion KL, Bukit Bintang and KLCC are within short walking distance. Public transportation of Monorail and LRT services can be accessed via the Raja Chulan station nearby.

The serviced apartment is completed with dining area and kitchenette fully equipped with electric hob & hood, refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle, glassware, crockery, cutlery and utensils. Coffee and tea bags and complimentary water are included as well.

Washing machine and dryer also available, this not only benefit the long staying guests but also short-term stay like us as we washed and dried our clothes before leaving. Please take note that detergent was not provided but there are convenient stores nearby.

Echoing the neutral theme of the suite, the master bedroom also beautifully appointed with soothing earth tones and wood elements featured throughout. It was nicely spaced with the bed was set in the middle and flanked by the usual bedside tables with lamps. The king bed was plush and utterly comfortable with large fluffy pillows. Wardrobe and working desk were placed at the both side of the bed, the whole space received great illumination of natural light from the glass windows.

For bigger family, the 134sq metre 2-bedroom suite definitely your ideal option with extra one bedroom, powder room and private study room.

Bathrobes, room slippers, hair dryer, in-suite electronic safe, ironing board were available for guests during their stay.

E & O Residences Kuala Lumpur is environmentally friendly and provides bed sheet changes upon request only to keep our world greener.

To my delight, the bathroom was really spacious too. It was well designed to equip a free standing bathtub, glass shower room fitted with hand held shower head and His’ and ‘Hers’ vanities.

Bathroom amenities have the standard shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush, body lotion, shower cap and more.

Beside the above amenities and facilities in-suite, there’re even more awaiting us within the confines of the E&O Residences. Let’s check it out!

The outdoor pool surrounded by lush greenery, what’s not to like? With stunning views of the Petronas Twin Towers and Menara Kuala Lumpur, substantial pool loungers and garden swings, I can spend my whole afternoon here by just lazing around.

Opening hours:
7.00am – 10.00pm (Daily)

There were private and public jacuzzi area too.

Stroll around this 1.2-acre ‘Central Park’ crafted by renowned landscape architect Seksan Design definitely an enjoyable experience. ‘An oasis in the concrete jungle’, that’s what I call it.

Instead my usual weekend jogging at the park, I had a good workout at the fully equipped gym room located on the ground floor.

Opening hours:
7.00am – 10.00pm (Daily)

While the adults have their workout in the gym room, the kids can release their energy at the outdoor playground.

Indoor kids playroom

Our stay was included breakfast (optional) at Delicious, St Mary Place which is located just next to the serviced apartment.

Verdict: I always believe that a staycation like this allows us to put aside our daily hassles, take a break from our daily circle, rejuvenate and enjoy some tranquility and rest. Our stay at E&O Residences Kuala Lumpur was certainly memorable with its stylishly appointed suite, friendly staffs and beautiful landscaped surroundings.  An urban haven amidst the city, it is a great and value-for money place to stay, whether one is on travelling for leisure or business. The only gripe during our stay was the insufficient elevators as we needed to wait quite some times especially during peak hours such as check-in and check out time.
