Hutan Lipur Sungai Sendat @ Ulu Yam Bahru
Go back to nature….
These words has been hanging on my head since the dry spell started. Days of scorching sun and relenting heat without respite from rains are not so easy on us, the “urbanites”.
Then on one fine Sunday morning, my hubby just decided to drive to the nearest nature escapes. Best of all it does not require any prior booking and it is less than an hour drive from our home.
Enter “Hutan Lipur Sungai Sendat” located just of the junction of the Ulu Yam town.
The drive there is quite scenic and you passed by one of the “shrinking” dams of Klang Valley (Batu Empangan).
You will be greeted by endless scenes of trees once you passed the junction at the town towards this special place.
A short 10-15 minutes drive, you will be greeted by the “park” keeper who of course will charge you a nominal rates to enter the place.
Entrance Fee: Adult (RM 1.00) & Child (RM 0.50)
Camping: Adult (RM 5.00) & Child (RM 2.00)
Oh yeah… what so special about the place? Besides the familiar jungle environment, you will glad to find people friendly waterfall!! It filled the streams with cold and clear mountain liquids that is guaranteed to cool you once you dipped in it.
Hutan Lipur Sungai Sendat (Sungai Sendat Recreational Park) is located in Batang Kali Forest Reserve which is part of the State Forest Park, also known as the Taman Warisan Negeri Selangor (Selangor State Heritage Park). This forest is a dipterocarp hill forest.
Packed with people when our visit.
Sam & papa, she reluctant to touch the water at first no matter how we persuaded her >.<
Beautiful butterflies were found on the huge rocks near the waterfalls.
Crystal clear & cooling water
Posing & camwhore but still unwilling to go down to the water.
Finally, 3 of us ♪(*^^)o∀*∀o(^^*)♪
The jungle trail but we didn’t go explore further.
Another area with less people.
Chargeable toilet cum bathroom is available here too.
Kind reminder: Please be a responsible tourist, don’t simply littering or clean the place when you leaving as I saw many plastic bags & bottles all over the place.
Your line should goes like this: go back to the nature and be kind to mosquitoes, feed them!
Ken, surprisingly not bite by any mosquito that day ^^
glad it’s cleaner liao. went there long time ago . the place was a mess
Still quite a lot of rubbish on the ground >.<
前陣子我都在跑瀑布,偏偏就是漏了這個,我要去啦啊啊啊!!!
可以去去, 然后去吃面 🙂
