Siew Kee Dim Sum @ Sungai Buloh
Breakfast Series!
Read my previous breakfast post HERE or the whole series HERE.
Sorry for abandoned my breakfast series for so long, here we continue the journey 🙂
Siew Kee Dim Sum, located at TSB Commercial Centre in Sg. Buloh which is rather quiet and vacant.
The motifs on the walls gave the restaurant an inviting oriental charm with some Chinese influence decors thrown in here and there. The indoor seats are quite limited and most of the tables are spread at the corridors of the restaurant.
Siew Kee provide a good selections of dim sum from the steamed items to the fried stuffs, prices are very affordable too.
Fish Balls (RM 4.00)
Egg Tarts (RM 4.80)
Steamed Pork Ribs (RM 3.80)
Fried Yam Dumpling (RM 5.50)
Siew Mai (RM 3.80)
Shrimp Dumpling with Chives (RM 4.00)
BBQ Pork Bun (RM 1.70 / bun)
Century Egg and Minced Pork Porridge (RM 2.80)
Steamed Cheong Fun – Prawn (RM 3.80)
The dim sum taste wise but nothing too outstanding though.
I revisit them for lunch after my first visit because their menu also features some rice dishes and ramen.
Wintermelon Lemon Barley (RM 6.80)
Not too diluted like else where, I still can taste the barley lemon flavor but this was quite a huge jar for only 3 of us, haha!
Tom Yum Ramen (RM 14.80)
Generous with the seafood but the broth was not up to my expectation. Not enough spicy and sour for my liking and the soup was a bit powdery 🙁
Nam Yue Fried Chicken Wings (RM 7.80)
Served pipping hot, the skin was perfectly fried to golden brown, crispy and well marinated while the inner still retained the tenderness. Awesomely delicious!
Mango Pomelo Dessert (RM 5.00)
This is their signature dessert which feature chilled mango puree with fresh mango and pomelo pulps. I like the sweet pomelo pulps however the mango was a little sour, a refreshing dessert nonetheless.
Verdict: Food was OK but there is room for improvement for the service. The extensive menu is something lure me for revisit.

The tom yum ramen looks promising though… but from what i see, it seems like the prices of dim sum in KL are slightly higher as compared to Penang
